George William Starr III, 83, of Wooster, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at West View Healthy Living.
George was born December 28, 1942, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to George and Janet {Moorehead} Starr.
George served in the National Guard for 10 years.
He married Mary Jo Austin on December 12, 1985, she survives.
George retired from the Wayne County Board of Developmental Disabilities and Ohio Special Olympics. He then worked part time at Wooster YMCA. George had a passion for music and serving his community.
George will be deeply missed by his wife; children Aubrey (Frank) Moro, Autumn Starr, Heather Oliver, Shannon Starr; grandchildren Marissa Kelley, Sierra Kelley, Ross Oliver, Emma Oliver, Harold Starr, Kayden Moro; great-grandchildren A.J, Ari, and Zayne; brother John Starr; and sister Patty Skiba.
George was preceded in death by his parents and sister Phyllis Ann Nugent.
