Gregg Donald Rackow

Gregg Donald Rackow, 68 of Wooster, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the Wooster Community Hospital.

Gregg was born June 21, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio to Donald and Margaret {Slayton} Rackow.

Following high school, he served in the US Army. Upon his discharge, Gregg worked as a mechanic for several years. He worked for American Weatherseal for years, and later in life, he started his own handyman service. He was known for telling jokes, the more inappropriate, the better. Gregg was an avid collector of football cards and memorabilia, knives and coins. He also enjoyed cooking and grilling, golf, old cars, watching old Westerns and Hallmark Movies.

Gregg is survived by his wife, Connie {Phillips} Rackow, daughter Anne (Liam Oliver) Rackow; son Joshua Rackow: sisters Debbie Spitler, Kim (Kevin) Norris, as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Gregg was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kurt Rackow, nephew Michael Farney and his ex-wife Coleen {Quirk}Rackow. Private interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
