Henry D. Eckhardt

Henry D. Eckhardt, 90, of Adamsville, Ohio, went to be with Jesus February 3, 2024 at Brunswick Pointe, in Brunswick, Ohio.

Henry was born August 12, 1933 in Cleveland, Ohio to Henry and Leona {Fitzgerald} Eckhardt.

He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1952 till 1955.

He married Sondra Thorne on October 6, 1956. She survives.

Henry was the general manager for Armotec for many years. He was a member of the Maranatha Bible Church, where he enjoyed ministering to the elderly. Henry was a member of the Westlake Town Criers and the United Methodist Men’s Club. Henry spent his time loving his wife and family, tinkering, hunting, fishing, boating, waterskiing, swimming.

Henry will be deeply missed by his wife; children Diane (Steve) Corl of Spencer, Buddy (Beth) Eckhardt of North Ridgeville, Kim (Joel) Cuebas of Westlake, Adam (Ann) Eckhardt of Spencer; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents and aunt Mildred Eckhardt.

Friends may call Wednesday from 10 to 11a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Memorial Gardens 7067 Cleveland Road Wooster, Ohio 44691. Services will be Wednesday at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Brown officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where military rites will be held.
