Howard "Butch" Hofstetter

Howard “Butch” Hofstetter, 81, of Sterling, died Monday March 6, 2023 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, in Wooster.

Howard was born January 16, 1942 in Dalton to Walter and Crystal {Watts} Hofstetter.

Howard served in the Army.

He married Carol Evans in 1966. 

Howard worked for Morton Salt for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also liked to go camping with his family and listening to music.

Howard will be deeply missed by his wife Carol; daughter Holly Hofstetter of Sterling; sons Christopher Hofstetter of Sterling, and Steven Hofstetter of Wooster; granddaughter Nicole Kenney; and great-grandchildren Grayson Kenney.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, brother Harold, and sisters Louise and Lucy.

Funeral services will be Tuesday March 14 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Gregory officiating.  Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
