Irene Wepler

Irene M. Wepler, 96, of Wooster, died Friday, March 11, 2022, at Wooster Community Hospital.

Irene was born February 2, 1926, in Smithville, Ohio to John and Edith {Shade} Beieler.

She graduated from Smithville High School in 1943.

She married Bob Wepler on August 21, 1948. He died November 11, 2012.

Irene worked as a switch board operator, and then worked for Regal Ware as a secretary. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wooster. Irene was devoted to her family.

Irene will be deeply missed by her son Bill (Diane) Wepler of Wooster, grandchildren Ryan (Vicki) Wepler of Guilford, CT and Ben (Missy Davis) Wepler of New Franklin, OH; great-grandchildren Fiona, Grady and Rylie Wepler.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers Harry and Raymond Beieler and sister Fern Gallagher.

Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting the family.  There will be no services per Irene’s request. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
