Scott Herdman

Jack Scott Herdman, 85, of Navarre, Ohio, passed away August 5, 2026.

Jack was born May 10, 1941 in Akron, Ohio to Clarence and Margaret {McCutchen} Herdman.

After graduating from high school Jack earned a Master’s Degree and then went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army for six years. Following his military service, he began his career with Highland High School, where he worked as a teacher until his retirement in 2004.

On June 15, 1963, Jack married the love of his life, Esther Hohenadel. They shared 57 wonderful years of marriage before Esther's passing in 2021.

Jack was a faithful member of Stanwood Christian Church.

He will be deeply missed by his son, Mark (Tanya) Herdman; grandchildren, Melissa (Andrew Gilles) Herdman and Blake Herdman; and sister Ruth Buzzello.

In addition to his wife, Esther, Jack was preceded in death by his sister Jeanne Spangler.

A private burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Seville.
