James E. Beichler

James E. Beichler, age 93, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025 at LifeCare Hospice of Wooster. 

Jim was born September 9th, 1931 in Marion, Ohio to Clarence and Leona (Carter) Beichler. He was a 1949 graduate of Smithville High School. He married Patricia Bell in 1952 and they spent the next 72 years together, until her passing in 2024. 

Jim was a veteran of the Korean war, serving in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953. He worked at Sheller Meats, Smith Dairy and later retired after 32 years from Consolidated Freightways. Jim enjoyed hunting, family fishing trips to Canada, and was an accomplished wood worker. 

Jim is preceded in death by his wife, parents, a brother Charles Beichler, nephew Gary Beichler and niece LuAnn (Beichler) Gutridge. 

Jim is survived by sons Randall (Vickie) Beichler of Big Prairie, OH. and Bruce (Christine) Beichler of Pataskala, OH; grandchildren Matt (Cristin) Beichler, Joe (Sara) Beichler, Lindsay (Jeremy) Beason; Great-grandchildren Kailyn, Kiley, and Carter Beichler; five step grandchildren Nick Norman, Laura Norman, Katy (Brad) Haudenschild, Elizabeth McCartney, Michael (Sara) O'Kolish; nine step greatgrandchildren; nephews Ken and Tim Beichler and niece Cheryl Revadelo.

 Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting the family. A private service will be held. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
