James Lee Punches

James Lee Punches, 75, of Mount Vernon, OH, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025, at Mount Vernon Health and Rehabilitation, in Mount Vernon.  James was born August 10th, 1949 in Centerburg, OH to Ed and Edna {Barber} Punches.

James loved to assemble model car kits and color coloring books. He loved to spend time with friends talking and joking about everything. Two black eyes were blamed on the nurse’s boyfriends. He was a member of the Mulberry St. Global Methodist Church. He liked going to Clipper’s Baseball games with David.

James will be deeply missed by Judy Wilson (Mildren’s sister), Nicole and David Welker and their children. James was preceded in death by his wife Mildren Punches, and his parents.

Friends may call Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Mount Vernon Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Pummell officiating. Burial will be at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
