Jeffrey Bates

Jeffrey Bryan Bates, age 59, of Orrville, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Jeff was born on August 3, 1961 in Cambridge, Ohio, to James H. and Neoma Jean Bates.  He graduated from Waynedale High School with the class of 1980.  He graduated from Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, Phoenix Arizona.
Jeff worked as a motorcycle mechanic and he was the owner/operator of The Hog Shack Harley Davidson Repair. His passion was playing the guitar.  He played in several bands with friends.
Surviving are his life partner, Karen Brenneman of Orrville; mother, Jean Bates of Wooster; brother, Jim (Judy) Bates of Wooster; sister, Gina (Jim) Bates of Apple Creek; step-sister, Lori (Gene) Terry of Wooster; many nieces and nephews including his extra special nephew, Nick Townsend of Sandusky; and his extra special dog Maggie.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father, stepfather Tom Wilcox, and step-brother, Fred Little Jr.
Private graveside services were held for the family.
