Jeremy Earl Heiss

Jeremy Earl Heiss, 18, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 23rd, 2025 just hours after graduation.

He was born on January 6th, 2007, in Marietta, Ohio. He was fostered from birth and formally adopted by Tim and Erica Heiss on December 24th, 2008.

Jeremy attended Warren High School and later attended the Washington County Career Center where he received his career-technical certificate in Heavy Equipment. He graduated from Washington County Career Center on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025 and Warren High School on Friday, May 23rd, 2025. Jeremy formerly worked for the Southeast Ohio Building Department and was most recently working for the Washington County Engineer Department as a flagger.

Jeremy loved to roller skate and play Rocket League on his PS5. He was a member of the Washington County Career Center disk golf team.

Jeremy will be deeply missed by his parents Tim and Erica Heiss, sisters Mikayla and Mikinzi Heiss (Bradyn), and brother Kevin Heiss. Jeremy is also survived by his niece, Katherine, nephew, Beaumont, grandparents, Rick and Karen Caseman, and Fay Heiss, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Donivan Heiss, and his biological mother, Tara Lightfritz.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Roberts Funeral Home - East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta, Ohio, 45750. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 28th 11:00 am with Rick Dostal officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park.
