John Arthur McQuillen

John Arthur McQuillen passed away December 31, 2025, age 84, at his home in Ashland, OH. John was born to Arthur and Jean McQuillen in Ashland, Ohio, on August 29, 1941. 

He was raised in Ashland and later married his wife Joyce on December 15th, 1973, He worked for various Railway companies including Erie-Lackawana, Con-Rail, Norfold and Southern. A hard worker, he retired from the railroads.  He enjoyed mowing lawns for his neighbors. He also enjoyed NASCAR and Cleveland Brown’s football.

He is survived by his brother Bill, sister Laura (Casey) McClain; nephews William Bailey, Brian McQuillen, nieces Shelli, Reber, Becky Mason, brother-in-law James (Bev) Evans, and extended family Lois, Rea, Sharon, Bobby and Amber. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Stanley and Hollas Neal and nephew Michael.

Friends and family can visit on Tuesday January 6, 2026 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Don Thompson presiding, at the Roberts Funeral Home, 1058 US 250, Ashland, OH 44805. Burial will follow at the Ashland County Memorial Park.
