In Loving Memory of Juanita “Jean” Lindsey

April 29, 1935 – August 11, 2026

Juanita J. Lindsey, affectionately known by family and friends as Jean or Jeanne, of Worthington, Ohio, passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on April 29, 1935, Jean lived a life filled with love, family, music, and a deep appreciation for bringing joy to others.

Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald “Don” Lindsey. The two shared not only a marriage and a family, but also a lifelong love of music. Jean was a gifted singer, and Don played guitar and piano. Together, they made music for much of their lives, sharing their talents and their love of music with those around them.

In their later years, Don and Jean were in a band that traveled to various locations, bringing their music and the gift of song to others. Music was more than a pastime for Jean—it was a meaningful part of who she was. Through her voice and her love of performing, she brought happiness and special memories to countless people.

Jean’s greatest joy, however, was her family. She was a proud and devoted mother who loved watching her daughter, Belinda Bean, play in the band. She also took great pride in watching her son, Greg Lindsey, play sports. Jean was always eager to support her children and celebrate the things that brought them happiness.

Her love of music and sports continued through the generations. Jean cherished watching her granddaughter, Natasha Buddell, participate in sports, dance, and cheerleading. She was equally proud to watch her grandson, Jake Lindsey, play high school and college football. Whether she was sitting in the audience, standing on the sidelines, or simply hearing about their accomplishments, Jean was one of their biggest supporters.  Jean was also blessed to welcome Nick Buddell, Natasha’s husband, and Hannah Swope, Jake’s fiancé, into the family. They became part of the family she loved so dearly.

Jean leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Belinda Bean; her son, Greg Lindsey; her granddaughter, Natasha Buddell, her husband, Nick Buddell; her grandson, Jake Lindsey and his fiancé, Hannah Swope. She also leaves behind extended family members and dear friends whose lives were touched by her kindness, music, laughter, and love.

Jean will be remembered for her beautiful voice, her love of music, her devotion to her family, and the joy she found in watching the people she loved pursue their passions. She spent her life sharing her gifts with others, whether through a song, a performance, a word of encouragement, or simply by being there.  Though Jean has taken her final bow, the music she created and the love she shared will continue to live on through her family and the many lives she touched.

Rest peacefully, Jean. May the beautiful music you shared with the world continue to play in the hearts of all who knew and loved you.

The family will hold a private service at a later time.
