Judy Louise Bucher

Judy Louise Bucher, 87, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Brethren Care Village surrounded by family.

Judy was born May 10, 1939, in Ashland to Daniel E. and Suzie {Gannon} Hoover.

She married Allen Bucher on June 22, 1957; he passed away in 2013.

Judy was the heart of the home; she was very strong-willed and loved her family deeply. She loved her calendars, journaling, reading her devotionals, and elephants (because of their motherly traits). She loved her pets Nugget and Kitty Boy. Judy was known as “sparkles” because of her fashion and bright personality.

Judy will be deeply missed by her daughter Cindy Quay; grandchildren Corrie (Tim) Briggs, Stefanie (Jeff) Corbin, Heidi (Donny) Singh, and Josh (Allison) Quay; great-grandchildren Taylor McQuillen, Ryan (Keyly) Westmoreland, Alexis McQuillen, Olivia Price, Reed Singh, Amelia Singh, Evan Corbin; great-great-grandchildren Cristian Perez, Gabriela Perez; brother Daniel (MariAnn) Hoover; special friends Diane and Evan from Brethren Care Village.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and daughter Cathy Bucher-Middleton.

Services will be Wednesday, July 29 at 12:00 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel in the Mausoleum Chapel with Chaplain Dean Pierce officiating (1058 US-250, Ashland, OH 44805). The family requests that attendants wear something sparkly, tie-dyed, or red, white and blue. Burial will follow at Ashland County Memorial Park.
