Kim Renee Abbott

Kim Renee Abbott, 58, of Wooster, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Wayne County Care Center.

She was born June 4, 1967, in Wooster, Ohio to Curt Abbott and Deborah {Phillabaum} Simmons.

Kim worked at the Nick Amster Workshop for over 27 years and enjoyed participating in the Ida Sue School Special Olympics. In the Special Olympics she participated in the softball and track and field events. She also enjoyed fishing with her dad.

She will be deeply missed by her father of Wooster, brother Shawn (Bernadette) Abbott of North Olmsted, niece Amanda Abbott, step-brother Brian (Sheila) Lawson, two aunts Sandra Carpenter and Darby Baab, and many cousins.

Kim was preceded in death by her mother Deborah Simmons, step-mother Sally Abbott, step-sister Brenda Mintie, grandparents Elizabeth Phillabaum, Carl and Eileen Phillabaum, Bill and Mary Abbott, and step grandmother Sara Welsh.

Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting with arrangements. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
