Larry Wood

Larry Allen Wood, 75, of Wooster, passed away August 23, 2026.

Larry was born February 5, 1951, in Millersburg, Ohio to Clark Junior and Helen {Gard} Wood. He graduated from Triway High School. While he was there, Larry played the bass guitar in a rock band. Following high school Larry served in the United States Army in Vietnam.

He married Patricia Poulson on May 27, 1973, she survives.

Larry worked as a carpenter for a small local contractor before joining Wooster Tool & Supply, later acquired by the Westerman Company, where he worked for 35 years before retiring in 2014. He enjoyed dirt track racing, spending time with his family, watching professional bull riding, camping, and fishing.

Larry will be deeply missed by his wife, Patricia; children Sheila Hinton of Florida, Jennifer (Matt) Dye of Shreve, Casey (Danielle Seidner) Wood of Orrville; and 3 grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Betty Lazette.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 26 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
