Leonard Lovejoy

Leonard Ray Lovejoy, 70, of Nova, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Leonard was born March 3, 1955, in Boone County, WV to Edgar and Georgia {Warner} Lovejoy.

He graduated from Scott High School in 1973. He married Rhoda Kelley on February 8, 1975. They were married 50 years. She survives.

Leonard was a steel worker in Cleveland for 48 ½ years, where he served as the union representative for 19 years, USWA Local 1157. He was also a union representative for the ILA #1317 for 18 years. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Nova Fire Department for 31 years, serving as Chief for one term. Leonard was also a multi gallon blood donor to the Red Cross.

Leonard will be deeply missed by his wife, Rhoda; children Brandon (Nichole) Lovejoy of Ashland, Nichole (Clint English) of Nova, and Amanda (Steven) Kinsley of West Salem; grandchildren Chelsea and Logan Lovejoy, Kole and Sofi Kinsley; great-grandchildren Kali, Gemma, and Grayson; brothers Eddie Lovejoy of Brunswick and Fred (Anna) Lovejoy of West Virginia; sisters Sandra Wilson of Virginia and Robin Brister of Texas, sister-in-law Linda Lovejoy of West Virginia; and his best buddy Nicholas Fumich.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roger and Charlie Lovejoy.
