Lora Christine Hicks

Lora Christine Hicks, 76, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at the Avenue at Wooster.

Chris was born February 28, 1950, in Millersburg to Raymond and Lori {Connelly} Gooding.

She dedicated her life to taking care of people in nursing homes. Chris had a strong faith in God and enjoyed spending time with her church friends at Connection Church. She enjoyed the company of her friends and neighbors at College Hills Retirement Village. Chris loved to walk, help people in her community, read her Bible, and talk with friends and family on the phone.

Chris will be deeply missed by her children Wayne (Sherri) Smail and Keith Hicks; son-in-law Brian Torrence; grandson Justin (Katlyn) Torrence; her siblings; former mother-in-law Marge Robinson; and best friends Jaci Calenberg and Terry Tippin.

Chris was preceded in death by her daughter Crystal Torrence, and her parents.
