Marilee Harrison of Mount Vernon, Ohio was born on September 13, 1948. She passed away peacefully on November 12, 2024.
Marilee was born and lived her early childhood in Grove City, Pennsylvania. At the age of eight she moved with her family to Mt Vernon, Ohio where she graduated from high school. She continued her education at The Ohio State University and Wilmington College.
Marilee was married three times, living in Sana Monica, California and Seattle, WA before returning to Mt. Vernon. While in California she began a journey of self-discovery, impacting the rest of her life. Her Christian faith provided her with strength and comfort throughout her life. She was a lifelong learner and continued her university education in California and the Nazarene University in Mt. Vernon. Her employment included various banks and credit unions. Marilee was a gifted writer, accomplished musician, skilled seamstress, and loved poetry and literature.
She is survived by her sister, Jackie Wilkinson of Corsicana, TX, brother, Joe (Marjorie) Harrison of Puyallup, WA, nieces, Chrissy (Alex) Martinez, Kelsey Harrison, and five great nephews and nieces. A celebration of life service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Mt Vernon, 106 N. Gay St, Mount Vernon, OH, on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11 AM.
