Martha Lawayne Habig

Martha Lawayne Habig, 93, of Rittman, passed away November 22, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Martha was born September 16, 1932 in Morgantown, West Virginia to Wilburt Orrville Hawkins and Orie {Eddy} Hawkins.

She married Bernard James Habig, he passed in 2012.

Martha worked for BF Goodrich as an executive secretary for over 22 years. She attended the Medina Community Church. Martha loved quilting, she made over 100 quilts, and taking care of her family.

Martha will be deeply missed by her sons James Brian Habig and David Lee Habig; nephew Merle Lee (Polly) Hawkins Jr.; nieces Debra (Randy) Manley, Susan (Sonny) Hawkins, and Kathy (Al) Sabino; and brother Merle Lee (Myrna) Hawkins Sr.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bernard, her daughter Helen Habig, son Jonathan Habig, sisters Mae and Ruth, and her brother Ray.

Memorial services will be Wednesday December 10 at 2 p.m. at the Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
