Martha Jane Leach

Martha Jane Leach, 85, of Wooster, died May 5, 2025 at Western Reserve Hospital, in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.

Martha was born April 30, 1940 in Mansfield, Ohio to John H. and Naomi Lucile {Nichelson} Schoffstall. Martha entered the Wayne County Children’s home (now called the Kinney Building) in Wooster, Ohio at the age of 11 in 1951.

She graduated from Wooster High School in 1960.

Martha retired from Bell & Howell after 40 years. She attended the Falls Berean Bible Church in Cuyahoga Falls. She enjoyed collecting porcelain dolls, making hard tack candy, the season of Christmas. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, notably her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Martha will be deeply missed by her children Rebecca (Patrick) Coffield; grandchildren Amber Coffield, Ronald (Amanda) Huish Jr., Samantha Coffield, Abby (Lucas) Coffield and her great-grandchildren Austin, Judah, Gemma, Alexander, Nicholas, Arthur, Reuben.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers John Henry Schofstall Jr., Orlando Schofstall, George Smith, Phillip Newlan, John Newlan.

Friends may call Tuesday May 20, 2025 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.
