Nellie Mae Parent

Nellie Mae Parent, 90, of Marietta, died Tuesday, June 16, 2026 peacefully at home with her family by her side, in Marietta. Nellie was born September 30, 1935 in Marietta, Ohio to Archie and Mabel {O’Neal} Johnson. She was a 1953 graduate of Marietta High School. She married Leon R. Parent on July 5, 1958. Nellie worked and retired from Washington County Landmark. Nellie will be deeply missed by her daughter Suzanne (Scott) Ashbaugh, her one and only grandchild, Abbie Ashbaugh who she was so proud of and loved being her Nana. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Lee, all 4 of her sisters Betty (Matheny), Peggy (Stroud), Bernice (Bell) and Katherine (Williams) and well as their spouses.
