Norma Tanner

Norma Jean Tanner, 79, of Mansfield, died Sunday, August 15, 2021, at home surrounded by family.

Private services will be held at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Steve Conn officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.

Norma was born June 22, 1942 in Woodsfield, Ohio to Dale C. and Martha E. {Workman} Resecker.

She married Elwood “Buzz” Tanner on December 16, 1981. He died October 12, 2016.

She was a very kindhearted Christian. Loved spending her time gardening, quilting, and crocheting. She was loved by all who knew her.

Norma is survived by her children Cinthia (Ron) Gibbins of Willard, Matthew (Terri) Cyrus; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Harry (Connie) Resecker of Burbank; sisters Marilyn (Roy) Combs of Lodi, Ilene (Jack) Thompson of Mansfield, best friend Linda Sue Settles; and several nieces and nephews.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, son John Dale Cyrus, brother Eugene Resecker, and sister Mildred Cyrus.
