Onealee “Lee” A. Sanders, 90, of Rittman, went home to Heaven March 17, 2024 at Summa Health System, in Akron, Ohio.
Onealee was born February 24, 1934 in Little Lynn Creek, WV to Julian and Ada Pearl {Doss} Adkins.
Onealee graduated from Wayne High School in West Virginia.
She married William “Ken” Sanders on July 11, 1953.
Onealee retired from the Trading Post in Rittman after 25 years in 1998. Onealee believed family was most important to her. She always prepared Sunday meals which took place precisely at noon every week. This tradition has kept the family close and connected for many decades.
She was notorious for acknowledging birthdays and holidays with a card and gift without fail.
Some of the grandchildren were introduced to her love of bluegrass music by bringing them to many of the shows she attended to see Little Roy Lewis whom she shared a birthday with.
She also bowled for many years and enjoyed family camping trips when her children were young.
Onealee will be deeply missed by her husband William “Ken”; children Randy (Peggy), Greg (Darla), Jeff (Monique); grandchildren Brent, Heather, Jason, Kim, Rayne, Tonya; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers Charlie, Claude
Onealee was preceded in death by her brothers Rick, Julian, Jack, Clinton and Ray.
Friends may call Saturday March 23 from 12 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, 9560 Acme Road, Seville. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Decker officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
