Ora “Pops” Isaiah Koch, 88, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Reserve Care Hospice, in Medina.
Ora was born April 11, 1937, in Ashland to George and Helen {Kaufman} Koch.
He married Lila Null on July 19, 1958; they enjoyed 67 years of marriage together.
Ora proudly served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves. He retired from Garber Co. Ora attended Calvary Baptist Church in Ashland. He loved to tinker in the garage, he always making something. He liked fishing and baking banana bread. Ora’s greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ora will be deeply missed by his wife; children Karen Renner, Donna Painter, Brian (Carol) Koch and Jim Koch; 10 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 5 step great-grandchildren; brothers Richard Koch, Jerry Koch, Terry Koch; sisters Patsy Clark, Bonnie Bush, and Joy Lynn Plank.
Ora was preceded in death by his parents, brothers George Koch, Ralph Koch, Doug Koch, Clayton Koch; sisters Lila Leiter and Peg Lane.
Friends may visit Tuesday, April 7 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel. Services will follow at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Ora-Koch) with Pastor John Oleyar officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park, where military rights will be held. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to a charity of your choice.
