Patricia Lou Merckle, 83, of Wooster, died Tuesday, September 3, at Smithville Western Care Center, in Wooster.
Friends may call Saturday from 11 a.m. To 1 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Sam Troyer officiating. Patricia was born April 7, 1930 in Beech Bottom, WV to Theodore and Lucille Elizabeth {Hoskins} Hubbard.
She married Martin G. Merckle on August 5, 1950.
Patricia worked at Glendora Nursing Home for 27 years. She was a member of Apple Creek United Methodist Church. She also tutored at Apple Creek Elementary School. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Patricia will be deeply missed by her children Jim (Pat) Merckle of Wooster, Dave (Sandi) Merckle, Debby (Jeff) Smith both of Apple Creek, and Cheryl (Barry) Fortune of Jeromesville; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; Brother Robert (Elmonda) Hubbard of Columbus; Sisters Carrol (Robert) Rockwell, Beverly (Robert) Staffileno both of Wellsburg, WV, and Linda (Dave) Franklin of Moundsville, WV.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Phyllis Wilhelm; and brother, Theodore Jr.
