Peggy Ann Christensen died on February 10, 2023 at Dublin Methodist Hospital in Dublin, Ohio from complications of cancer and lung disease.
Peggy was born July 23, 1937 in Wood County, Ohio, the daughter of Aaron and Clara Bursiek.
She graduated from Portage Township High School in 1955 and attended Stautzenberger Business School in Toledo, Ohio. Her work experience included Bowling Green State University, Heidelberg College, Hyco, Hydromatic, Lett and Lett Attorneys, and Senior Citizens Center of Ashland. She retired as Parish Administrator from Trinity Lutheran Church in September of 2004.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, having served on the Alter Guild, and various volunteer capacities. She earned the CPS (Certified Professional Secretary) rating in 1987 and was a member of national NSA, PSI and IAAP professional organizations and the local ASESIBA Chapter.
She married Donald R. Biederman (deceased) and they had three children, Rex (Margaret) Biederman of Cincinnati, Ohio, Beth (David) Ahrendt of Dublin, Ohio, and Jerry (Janet) Biederman of Westerville, Ohio. Grandchildren Brian and Kelly Biederman, Adam Schrand, Natalie (Rick) Endres, Nicholas and Natalie Thomas, Julia and Anna Ahrendt, Alyssa (Mark) Poskarbiewicz and Tyler (Chelsey) Biederman. Great grandchildren Lyle and Lenore Poskarbiewicz and Evelyn Biederman. In 1979, she married Richard E. Christensen (deceased) with stepchildren James Christensen (deceased) and Barbara Gremling of Beaufort, South Carolina, grandchildren Kristopher, David, Michael and Emily Gremling.
She is survived by brother Lee (Janice) Bursiek of Plainwell, Michigan and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Bursiek, sisters Virginia Reynolds and Marilyn Huffman.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Center St, Ashland, OH 44805 at 11:00 a.m. on Friday February 17th, followed by a luncheon at the church.
Private family burial will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery[BA1] after the memorial service. Roberts Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements. Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com
