Ralph C. Hines

Ralph C. Hines, 86, of Marietta, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Elison Assisted Living.

Ralph was born March 10, 1939 in Stafford, Ohio to Heber and Marjorie {McConnell} Hines.

He graduated from Lewisville High School in 1957. Ralph was a veteran of the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Irwin in Barstow, CA.

He married Sandra Hayes on February 6, 1962.

Ralph worked for the Ford Brothers, Rich Loaf Bakery in Norwood and retired from Ohio Power. In retirement, he worked for Haas Sales, where he sold and delivered tractors. Ralph was a long-time member of the Nazarene Church in Marietta. He was a member of American Legion Post 64 and was a volunteer with Reno Fire Department where he also did repairs on the fire engines. He was a fan of NASCAR and made yearly trips to Daytona for many years. Ralph loved when family came to visit.

Ralph will be deeply missed by his wife Sandra Hines; children Kimberly (Martin) Wallace, Keith Hines and Kirk Hines; grandchildren Braden Henderson, Aaron Henderson, Michelle (Braden) Riley, Kevin Wallace, Haley Hines (fiancé Chris Long), Corey Hines (fiancé Paige Ferguson), Carley (Bryce) Moore and Makayla Hines; six great-grandchildren; brothers Bernard (Virginia) Hines and Gene (Anne) Hines.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his twin sister Carol Hines, brothers Gerald Hines and Robert Hines.

The family would like to thank the staff at Elison as well as Amedisys Hospice for their care during this time.

Friends may call Friday, July 25th from 1 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Terry Schmelzenbach officiating. Entombment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park, where military rites will be held.
