Randy Lee Purdy

Randy Lee Purdy, 79, of Wooster, passed away April 5, 2026.

Randy was born September 23, 1946 in Millersburg, Ohio to Thomas and Dorothy {VanSickel} Purdy.

He married his loving wife Dorothy “Dottie” Kuntz on August 29, 1969.

Randy was in law enforcement for over 41 years. He was a devoted public servant and would always put others first. Randy led with kindness and compassion. He was a member of Parkview Church in Wooster. Randy loved photography, riding bikes, spending time with friends and family, especially his grandkids.

Randy will be deeply missed by his wife Dottie; children Marcie (Andy Anderson) Purdy, Erica (Chuck) Neyhart, Lacey (Bryan) Knapp; and grandchildren Vincent, Pierce, Laona Neyhart, Malia and Beckham Knapp

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Russell Reed and Gary Purdy.

Friends may call Friday April 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Private family funeral services will be held at the funeral home.
