Richard P. Dente

Richard “Pat” Dente, 75, of Wadsworth, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

Pat was born March 14, 1951, in Akron, Ohio to Richard Dale and Margaret Ellen {Coughlin} Dente.

He graduated from St. Vincent High School in 1969.

He married Sheri Destro on July 16, 1976; she survives.

Pat worked as a Director of Transportation in the trucking industry. He attended Sacred Heart Church in Wadsworth. Pat was a big sports fan; he loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Cleveland Guardians. He coached peewee football for 14 years. 

Pat will be deeply missed by his wife; children Shaun (Katie) Dente, Gregory (Jenna) Dente, and Lisa (Greg) Langos; grandchildren Braxton, Audrey, Landon, Caleb, Gavin, Logan, Brantley, and Grady; brothers Mike Dente and Mark (Sharon) Dente; sister Cathy Warren; and lifetime best friends Tim Baughman and Ram Urdiales.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Judy Sours and Peggi Yurkschatt, nieces Jamie Warren and Sofia Dente.
