Richard Howard Rinard

Richard Howard Rinard, 78, of Marietta, passed away Friday, October 2, 2026 at Waterview Point.

Richard was born February 20, 1948 in Marietta to Maurice and Ethel Rinard. He attended Ohio University and then served in the United States Army in Germany.

Richard married Kathy Gorham on November 6, 1971. He owned Rinards Hardware in Saint Marys for 20 years and was active with the American Legion Post 64.

Richard will be deeply missed by his wife Kathy Rinard; son Aaron (Kim) Rinard of Charlotte, NC; grandsons Chase and Louis Rinard.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his sister Virginia Harpring.

Visitation will be Monday, October 5th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 12 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Adam Will officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park, where military honors will be held.
