Richard "Rich" Redinger

Richard “Rich” I. Redinger, 87, of Sterling, died Sunday February 6, 2022 at Marjora Lane Nursing Home, in Millersburg.

Friends may call Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.

Rich was born June 18, 1934, in Marshallville, Ohio to Irvin and Alta {Moser} Redinger.

He graduated from Apple Creek High School.

He married Shirley Wade on September 4, 1954. She died November 15, 2018.

Rich retired from Morton Salt after 42 years and owned Redingers Nursery for over 40 years. He enjoyed being outdoors.

Rich will be deeply missed by his children Ronnie (Terri) Redinger of Alliance, Vickie (Bob) Barcus, Jeff (Jackie) Redinger all of Wooster; grandchildren Bob (Jeanette) Barcus, Stacy (Mike) Harry, Cody Redinger, Tyler (Ciara) Redinger; great-grandchildren Ryan Redinger, Gage Barcus, Carson and Leora Redinger; sisters Arlene Gordon, Max Botkins, Dell Haws, Al Bucher, Marlene Hinton, Judy Repp, Sherry Woodruff.

Rich was preceded in death by his wife, son Bud Redinger, grandson Ricky Redinger, brother Don Redinger and sisters Pauline Blankenship, and Elva Leyda.
