Rimas "Ray" G. Cecys

Rimas G. “Ray” Cecys, 71, of Wadsworth, died Monday, December 12, 2022 at Wadsworth Rittman Hospital.

Ray was born November 15, 1951 in Lafayette, Indiana to Alfons and Maria Cecys.

He graduated from Cleveland State University where he met his partner and love of his life for 35 years, Annedale “Andee” Raklovits. 

Ray worked for Cleveland State University for over 30 years.

Ray loved horticulture, he dedicated his time at work and home building and designing a beautiful landscape. Some of his other hobbies include watching birds, boating, playing the guitar and cooking for his family.

Ray will be deeply missed by the love of his life Andee; step-children Dawn Wagner of Columbus, Jamie (Dana) Raklovits of Medina; step-grandchildren Sydney, Katie, TJ, Megan; sister Vida Kalina; and cousin Victor Ceicys.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents and brother Mark.
