Ronald “Joe” Craig, 80, passed away June 15, 2023 at Shore Point Hospital, Port Charlotte, FL. after an extended illness.
Ronald was born September 7, 1942 in Glouster, Ohio to Delbert and Ida ( Johnson) Craig.
Ronald graduated from the Mount Vernon Academy in 1960. Ronald proudly served in Vietnam from 1965-1967 in the United States Army 101 st Airborne Transportation Company as a Spec 4. Aviation Electrician.
Ronald retired from Rolls-Royce in Mount Vernon in 2006 after 25 years of service.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Ruth Gillett, Robert ( Ethel) Craig, Wayne (Jane) Craig, Irma (Lee) Calton. Daughter in law Dianna (Salley) Craig and grandson Bryant Snyder
Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sheila (Sutton) Craig, Children Tim Craig Howard, Terra (Tom) Wynkoop, Lithopolis Trent Craig, Mount Vernon Granddaughters Alie (David) Harlan, Carroll Audra (Daniel Chapman) Wynkoop, Grove City, Britney ( Carl Klontz) Stuller, Heath Lani Skaggs, Newark, Bethany Hays, Mount Vernon 5 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The Graveside Memorial service will be Wednesday, June 28 at 2:00 PM at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. Pastor Chuck Gadway will be officiating. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
