Ronald Messer

Ronald Lee Messer, 73, of Norton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.Ronald was born on January 29, 1953, in Wadsworth to Walker Lee and Margaret (McCool) Messer. On June 25, 1972, he married the love of his life, Holly McCanna, and together they shared 54 years of marriage.Ronald dedicated 25 years of his career to Bair's Inc., where he worked as a skilled mechanic. Outside of work, Ronald enjoyed going to the casino with his wife, Holly, and was an avid racing and NASCAR fan. He had a deep passion for the outdoors, where he loved tending to his garden and taking care of his animals. He was an avid hunter who cherished the time he spent hunting with his grandson Logan, and found immense joy in watching his grandchildren participate in sports, or whatever other hobbies they had.

Ronald will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Holly; his children, Heather (Mike) and Ronald ( Dee) , his grandchildren; Madison (Dom), Ashley (Dom), Logan (Abby), Alyssa and was adored by his great-grandchildren, Jackson and Presley and is also survived by his sister, Cheryl and many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.He was preceded in death by his parents, Walker Lee and Margaret Messer.

Friends may visit from 10 am - 11 am on August 11 at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel,  Seville, immediately prior to the public memorial service celebrating Ronald's life at 11am, our dear friend and cousin, Jim Matheny, will be officiating the service and it will be livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Ronald-Messer. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Seville.
