Howard

Roy Landskroner, 82, most recently of Howard, OH entered into eternal rest with his family by his side on April 3, 2023.

Born in Saginaw, MI he met his wife, Barbara Jean Misekow, while working at Central Foundry. After marrying, they raised four children together in Saginaw and Lancaster, PA, eventually retiring to Apple Valley, OH. In addition to being a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather he was an industrial engineer, having graduated from the General Motors Institue and working in the foundry industry. He remained active in the community, volunteering with the Sew Special Network board and the East Knox Lions club with several “Lion of the Year” awards culminating in the prestigious honor of receiving the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award on March 16, 2023. He could be found on the blustery field putting up targets for the Turkey Shoot through Thanksgiving without fail. Roy also loved helping the youth get involved in Pheasants Forever Youth days. Never fully retiring, he enjoyed his courier route working for Park National Bank up until the time he became sick. He loved his family, cherishing the times when everyone came to “The Lakehouse,” teaching the grandchildren how to fish, play sports, garden, and learn the joys of working outdoors. He had several hobbies including hunting, fishing, gardening, and being the creative handy-man for his wife's many interior design ideas.

He is survived by his children Dawn Reese (Jeffrey) of Elizabethtown, PA; Debra Kuhlman (Roger) of Marco Island, FL; Dana Landskroner of State College, PA; and Deidre Yoder (Ian MacKinnon) of Newtown, CT; six grandchildren Emily, Caity, Nicholas, Elizabeth, David, Lauren and five step-grandchildren, Jillian, Lindsay, Katelynn, David and Madalyn and three step-great-grandchildren, Silas, Mira, Aria, twin brother Ray Landskroner (Jan) of Surprise, AZ and brother-in-law Gerald Misekow (Judy) of Saginaw, MI and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Landskroner, his parents Marwood and Amelia Landskroner, brothers Marwood Jr (Butch), and sisters Marilyn, Marlene and Bonnie, and grandsons Matthew and Ryan.
