Ruth Horst

Ruth Louise Horst, 76, of Wooster, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, March 11, 2025.

Ruth was born on December 21, 1948, in Coudersport, PA to Waldo and Emma Mae Kauffman Horst.

Ruth worked for LUK in the 1980’s and 1990’s. She was a dedicated administrator for the former Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County (now Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare) for many years. She retired from the Wayne County Care Center in 2012.

She volunteered with many organizations throughout the community including Hospice of Wayne County and People to People Ministries.

Ruth is survived by her special friends Laura Lemon, Kay Robinson, Marilee Allison, and Susan Meade.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents.

Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting with arrangements. Per Ruth’s wishes there will be no public services.
