Sally Jane Daugherty

Sally Jane Daugherty, 80, of Shreve, died Friday, May 12, 2023 at Wooster Community Hospital.

Sally was born August 9, 1942 in Wooster, Ohio to John and Carrie {Vitallo} Di Orio.

She married Richard Daugherty on June 25, 1966. 

Sally owned Sally’s Hair Parlor in Shreve for 30 years. She loved her family and creating adventures especially with her great-grandbabies. Sally enjoyed big game mushroom hunting and Indian artifact finding.

Sally “GiGi” will be deeply missed by her daughter Kari (Robert) Sweeney of Shreve; grandchildren Sean (Rachael) Sweeney, Briele (Steve) Rucki; great-grandchildren Augustus, Octavia, Willow, and Lilah; many nieces and nephews; as well as many many friends. Sally was loved by all who crossed her path.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Richard; brothers Anthony, Arthur, John Jr, and James; Sisters Julia, Ruth, Evelyn, Mary. GiGi was the brightest light of our family who we will love forever and cherish every memory.
