Sharon Ann Gebhart

Sharon Ann Gebhart, 79, of Reno, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at her home.

Sharon was born September 21, 1946 in Marietta to Dale and Maxine Eddy.

She was a 1965 graduate of Marietta High School.

She married Donald L. Gebhart on December 7, 1968.

Sharon enjoyed her time as a secretary at Marietta High School. She was a member of Sand Hill Methodist Church, where she was in the Women’s Group and participated in the Walk to Emmaus. She also taught Sunday School and helped with Vacation Bible School among many other roles. Sharon was a member of the Buckeye Twirlers Western Square-dance Club, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed cross stitching. She was heavily involved in her children’s extracurricular activities, whether it be as cheerleading advisor, Brownie Troop leader or head homeroom mother.

Sharon will be deeply missed by her husband Donald Gebhart; son David L. (Anja) Gebhart; daughter Stephanie A. (Brandon) Newbanks; son Corey D. Gebhart (fiancé Emily Diehl); grandchildren Gavin Newbanks, Gwen Newbanks and Sydney Gebhart; and her loving brother David S. Eddy.

Visitation Thursday, May 7th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Visitation will also be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at noon on Friday, May 8th at the funeral home with Rev. Jeremy Daniels. Entombment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
