Sharon Kay Smith

Sharon Kay {Singer} Smith, 68, of Wooster, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare.

Sharon was born September 8, 1957, in Orrville to Edwin and Betty {Swerline} Singer.

She was a truck driver for many years. Sharon loved to watch (through her eyelids) racing of all kinds and the Dallas Cowboys. She loved Barberton Chicken, and going to the beach. Sharon enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandkids.

Sharon married Larry Smith on February 16, 2001; he passed in 2018.

Sharon will be deeply missed by her children Daniel (Megan) Bucher Jr., Shannon (Jerry) Mathew, and Tianna (Donny) Banton; grandchildren Tad, Timothy, Tate, Taryn, Trenton, Trace, Tiarra, and Teegan; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Penny (Joe) Shearer and Terri (Rob) Kurtz.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson Tyler, and brother Curt Singer.
