Shirley Jean Warner Stroud, age 86, formerly of Wooster, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, in Millersburg. She was born on July 22, 1939, in Congress, Ohio, to Francis and Clara Marie {Yergin} Billheimer.

She married Tony Glen Stroud on April 5, 2003. He passed away October 8, 2017.

Shirley was a longtime resident of Wooster and devoted many years of her working life to Apple Creek Developmental Center, where she was known for her steady presence and caring nature. She retired in 1995, closing a chapter marked by dedication and service to others.

She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and valued her faith, family, and the simple routines of everyday life.

Shirley is survived by her children: Deborah (Ronald) Everhart of Wooster, Gary (Shannon) Warner of Leavenworth, Kansas, Brian Warner of Wooster, and Dusty (Crystal) Stroud of Lakeville. She was a proud grandmother of seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Warner, her brother Donald Billehimer (Anna) of Wooster, and lifelong friend Carol Burkhart - Parry.

Services will be Tuesday, February 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home – Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Following the service, Shirley will be entombed in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
