Steve Lee

W. Stephen Lee, 83, of Wooster, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Danbury Senior Living surrounded by his family.

Steve was born April 26, 1939, in Lee County, SC to William and Helen {Latimer} Lee. He married Barbara Sliday on August 17, 1963.

Steve was a ceramic engineer for Ferro Corp in Cleveland where he developed the self-cleaning coatings for gas ovens. He also worked for Akron Brass, A.O. Smith, and Diamonite, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Grace Church where he served as an usher for many years. Steve was in Kiwanis Club, and was an avid woodworker and cyclist, and loved gardening.

Steve will be deeply missed by his wife, Barbara; son Michael (Becky) Lee of Wooster, daughter Laura (Paul Simbrat) Lee of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren Ethan, Madeleine, and Audrey Lee.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and a brother David Lee.

Services will be Friday, January 6, at Grace Church in Wooster at 11 am with Pastor Randy Moomaw officiating. A reception will follow immediately after the service at the church.
