Steven Dean Miller Jr.

Steven D. Miller Jr., 38, of Mount Vernon, OH, passed away Sunday July 5, 2026 in Fredericktown.  Steven was born October 8, 1987 in Phoenix, AZ to Steven Dean and Connie {DeVore} Miller. He graduated from East Knox in 2004.

Steve was a handyman able to fix about anything. MacGyver Steve! Like the time a wire hanger fixed his sister’s muffler. He used drywall mud as body putty and it worked. He loved to ride go-carts, 4 wheelers, dirtbikes, actually, anything with a motor with his brother and son. Broken bones were common. But the only time he was taken to the hospital was in a helicopter. He loved to hike and fish, rappel down rock faces (well anything) and skydiving. He was on the way to becoming a skydiving Class A instructor. Steven will take one last skydiving adventure with his brother Austin and oldest son Devon to feel the sky one more time. Chelsea Stover was by his side through many of his adventures for the past fifteen years.

Steve will be deeply missed by Chelsea Stover, children Devon (Jazmyn) Miller, Keira Miller, Aaron Miller; parents Connie and Steven and step-father David Oliver; brothers Austin (Liz) Brown, Daniel Matheny; sister Terra (Kelly) Keelin, former spouse and best friend Megan Miller.

Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents Aaron DeVore, Ramona Matthews and father-in-law Doyle Vance.
