Teri Elizabeth Beery, 79, of Wooster, passed away August 20, 2026, surrounded by family.
Teri was born April 14, 1947, in Buffalo, New York to Franklin and Alma {Ruffner} Johnson.
She married William “Bill” Beery on June 14, 1969; he survives.
She graduated from Heidelberg College where she lettered in Softball and Basketball. Teri taught at Ida Sue for 10 years and worked at the Pregnancy Care Center of Wayne County for 20 years. Teri was very active at Heartland Christian Center in Wooster; she led Bible studies and co-led pre-marital classes. In Teri’s younger years she was a left-handed softball pitcher and a swimmer. Later in life she enjoyed riding her bicycle and reading. Teri loved nature and being outdoors, she would do anything to get out of the house. She loved her dogs and most of all she loved to spoil her grandkids. Teri was a very faithful woman; she loved the Lord and was a prayer warrior.
Teri will be deeply missed by her husband Bill; children Matthew (Kari) Beery, Michael Beery, Elizabeth (Jason) Sustar; and grandchildren Isaac, Jaron, Evan, Emerson, Mikayla, and Olivia.
Teri was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Jacob, and brother Fred Johnson.
Friends may call Wednesday, August 26 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home (and livestreamed at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com/obituaries/Teri-Beery) with Pastor Shirley Sustar officiating.
