Ty Emmerson Bishop

Ty Emerson Bishop, 69, of Orrville, passed away May 24, 2026.

Ty was born October 17, 1956 in Wooster to David Miles and Joyce Eileen {Long} Bishop. He graduated from Smithville High School in 1975. He married Ellen Crofutt on November 2, 1979. She passed away in 2018.

Ty owned and operated Bishop Tire in Orrville for many years, retiring in 2012. He enjoyed hunting, flying model airplanes, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Ty will be deeply missed by children Trent (Dawn Matz) Bishop of Orrville and TyAnn (Mike) Miles of Bloomville, Ohio; grandchildren Blade, TyNesha, and Christianna Bishop; step grandchildren Brian Smith, Alex Smith, and Cody Factor; step great-grandson Cyrus Lee Factor; sisters Melody Bishop of Wooster and Paula Bishop of Smithville, and a brother Max of Arizona.

Ty was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen, and daughter-in-law Melinda.

Friends may call Monday, June 1 at from 2-3pm Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. The service will follow at 3pm. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster, with his wife Ellen. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
