Walter Larry Rook

Walter Larry Rook, 90, of Ashland, OH, died Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Brethern Care Village, in Ashland.

Walter was born May 5, 1935 in Spencer, OH to Wilber Foster and Alleen Francis {Regal} Rook.  He married Juane M. Milo on September 5, 1964 who passed away last January 2014.

A hard-working man, Walter drove for Flukes, Dunken Donuts, Artisan and for JCJ Transport in Peabody, MA. He was an owner operator of his own rig for several years. From time to time he worked in factories and even a slaughterhouse, and after retirement, a recycling center, because he could not sit still in retirement. He attended several churches including Methodist, Baptist and the Church of Christ. He read a LOT and listened to audio books. He loved any kind of book and his mind was sharp as a tack right to the end.

Walter will be deeply missed by his son Billy Lee (Debra) Rook; grandchildren, David (Elizabeth) Hagen, Lisa (David) Hodges, Scott (Misty) Hagen, Nicholas (Kerrin) Hagen, Maegan (Shawn) Ramsey, Tracy Rook; twelve great-grandchildren and the last great-great-granddaughter Aubrey.  Walter was preceded in death by his wife, daughter Cythnia and great-grandson John Daniel.
