Wilbur Dean Antill

Wilbert D. Antill, 96, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025 at his home in Warner, Ohio with his family at his side after a battle with cancer.

He was born September 10, 1928 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Clarence and Edna Antill.

He was married 72 years to Joyce (Russ) Antill of Belhaven, NC whom he met while proudly serving his country in the USMC. She passed away February 3, 2024.

His greatest pleasure was preaching the gospel which he did at several Churches of Christ in both OH and WV. He was the minister of Barnett Ridge Church of Christ for 38 years. His last sermon was July 27, 2025.

Wilbert is survived by his 6 children Linda Phyllis (Rod) of Beverly, Ella Shaw, Marietta, Teresa Muntz (Fred), Sid of the home, Virginia Reed (Steve) of Waterford and Clarence of Montgomery, TX. He had 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 19 great great grandchildren and 2 on the way. He is also survived by his sister, Bonnie Hill; sisters-in-law Sandy Davenport (Lindsey) and Jean Antill. 

His brothers Wayne, Carl, Paul and Larry as well as one great grandchild, Tony Arbaugh proceeded him in death.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 12 from 4 to 8 PM at Roberts Funeral Home, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta 45750. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 AM at the funeral home with John Wells officiating, where military honors will be held. Burial will be private at East Lawn Memorial Park.
