Avanella Louise Baker, 84, of Wadsworth, died Monday, March 16, 2020 at Akron City Hospital.

Avanella was born April 18, 1935 in South Webster, Ohio to Albert and Opal Lucy {Greene} Hackworth.

She married Eugene Baker on July 11, 1953, they were married for 45 years. He died October 13, 1998.

Avanella enjoyed camping, listening to bluegrass music, crocheting, word search books, watching the Cleveland Indians, Cavaliers and U-Conn Women’s Basketball.

Avanella will be deeply missed by her children Rodney (Debbie) Baker of Sterling, Rick (Sharon) Baker of Wadsworth, Teresa (Bob) Stewart of Medina, Tamie Baker and Karen Tyrrell of Florida; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and brother Roy (Carmen) Hackworth.

Avanella was preceded in death by her husband; brothers Larry and Jack; sisters Lorraine, Betty, Linda and Janet and granddaughter Kelli Baker.

Private services will be held at the funeral home with Chaplain Anthony Burwell officiating.  Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
