Chalmer Philpott

Chalmer C. Philpott, 92, of Wooster, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at his residence.

Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting the family. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where military rites will be held. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.

Chalmer was born August 26, 1929 in Charleston, WV to Chalmer L. and Luria {Hawkins} Philpott.

Chalmer served in the US Navy from 1951 until 1955.

He married Nancy Jean Neff on November 16, 1957.

Chalmer worked for Central States Can Company before retiring in 1989. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and listening to music.

Chalmer will be deeply missed by his children Bill (Susan) Philpott of Wooster, Dolores (Larry) Sexton of NC, Karen (Reginald) Fleck of Creston and David Philpott of NC; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Chalmer was preceded in death by his parents, son Paul Philpott, brother Clarence and sister Rosalee.
