Dana Messenger

Dana Andrew Messenger, 78, of Sterling, died Thursday, December 26, 2019 at LifeCare Hospice.

Burial will be Thursday 10 a.m. at Loudonville Cemetery with pastor Jeremiah Scadden officiating. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Parkview Christian Church. Dana was born July 16, 1941 in Gilmer County, WV to John M. and Mary Agnes {Marks} Messenger.

He married Margie on September 5, 1959. She passed February 21, 2017.

Dana worked for Georgia Pacific and other companies as a truck driver for 30 years. He enjoyed working with wood, restoring old cars and being ornery.

Dana will be deeply missed by his children Roxanne (David) Bucher of Orrville, David (Ora) Messenger of North Lawrence, Sherie (Dennis Jr.) Bucher of Orrville, Amanda (Chad) Enkemann of Wooster; grandchildren Angela (Eric), Brandi, Brooklynn; great-grandchildren Erica, Lacy, Case; brothers Melvin, Johnny (Nickie), and Scott Messenger; sisters Fronie (Dale) Holliday and Roberta Klein; and many nieces and nephews.

Dana was preceded in death by his wife, and grandson David Messenger Jr.
