Joseph Flowers Jr.

Joseph Flowers Jr., 88, of Wooster, died Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

There will be no services held. Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting the family with arrangements.  Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.   Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.

Joseph served in the US Air Force in the Strategic Air Command.

Joseph was born May 4, 1931 in Wooster, Ohio to Joseph Sr. and Edna {Young} Flowers.

He married Diantha {Lavinder} Gump on March 30, 2002. They spent 35 years together.

He retired from C and K Industrial Services out of Cleveland and Gerstenslager Company. He also served as the FBO at the Wayne County Airport for many years. Joseph was a member of the Mount Zion Church of God. He was in the RC Club, enjoyed photography, flying, and just spending time outdoors. Joseph spent his free time with his kids and grandkids.

Joseph will be deeply missed by his wife; children Twanna Flowers of PA, Brian (Melissa) Gump of Wooster; grandchildren Dennis (Leslie) Pierce, Jolene Pierce, Branden Gump, Drew (Carli) Gump; great-grandchildren Dennis and Brandon Pierce, Jalah and Jace, Aaliyah Gump, Emerson and Oaklyn Gump and his favorite Braden Gump and numerous other relatives.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, brother James “Greenie” Flowers, sister Mary Francis Walker, brothers-in-law Dewey Lavinder Sr. and Randy Lavinder, and numerous other relatives.and numerous other relatives.
